I probably should have seen this earlier but it’s nice to still find out things unexpectedly at times. To sum up, Dead By Con will be a brand new horror festival in Edmonton this February and there’s going to be a fundraiser for it on May 26th.

If you answered yes, and you just felt your horror-loving heart race with curiosity, join us, fellow creatures of the night, for the first ever… …Edmonton DEAD by CON Horror Festival… An event right here at home that celebrates your love of horror culture, and brings together a devilishly talented variety of local artists, vendors and industry guests alike. If you love all things Horror, then prepare for a weekend of good vibes and a veritable blood-feast for the senses! Your ticket grants you access to:
• Over 45 vendor displays ranging from rare memorabilia, posters and collectables, to movies, literature and apparel – All spread out over 13,000 square feet of festival space!
• Artists from far and wide, as well as some truly amazing local talent.
• Film screenings of fun familiar classics, as well as material from local film makers. *Now accepting submissions for shorts and full length features.
• Cosplay contest and prizes (TBA). That’s right, slashers and scream queens, tap into your sinister side and bring us your A-game. You could walk away our first ever DEAD by CON winners!
