Ok Edmonton… 2017 saw some strides taken in making our eSports scene more visible on a global scale. Red Bull & Memory Express both stepped in to sponsor tournaments with High Score eSports and the Edmonton Fighting Game Community.
That said, 2018 is the year we take an even bigger leap forward. I can’t say much yet (I love being cryptic) but if you have even a passing interest in competing in League of Legends or Overwatch; it’s time to get your team together because wow is there some stuff heading your way…
We’re not going to leave you to do this by yourself though. There’s going to be events soon to help you meet some teammates and get started. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and join the Edmonton Nerd Networking Facebook group for updates.

Message High Score directly through Messenger with the following info to register you and your team.
-Team name
-All teammates full names and full Battlenet tags.
-Team captain/point of contact email address.
-Team logo.(doesn’t need to be amazing, Have fun with it!)
Once 8 teams are registered we will move forward with collecting entry fees from each team.

High Score is beyond excited to finally announce our first Tournament for Blizzard’s beloved shooter! It’s been a long time coming and we are ready to give you the best competitive Overwatch gaming Edmonton has ever seen! Join us February 3rd for a day of intense LAN gaming, Delicious food provided by Dirtbag Café, craft beer and Overwatch-themed drinks crafted by High Score!
The people have spoken, and the time has come to assemble your Teammates! This tournament will feature 8 local teams going head-to-head on high powered PC’s provided by Alberta’s own Memory Express Inc. for a grand prize of $1,720! Spectators will witness front-row action via our in-house Projector and our staff casters will keep everyone at the edge of their seats with play-by-play commentary. There will be no draws; only one team will be victorious!
