Nerdy Things To Do In Edmonton This Weekend (July 14-16th)

Here’s your list of nerdy things going on this weekend. Have you been wanting to try free VR? The new location on 170 St is massive and there’ll be plenty of chances for you to try it on Saturday. Did I mention that Game OVR is opening in St. Albert this weekend as well? Plenty of VR to go around in the Edmonton area these days…

Beyond that there are events for all kinds of gamers. The Hour of Devastation MTG set is being played at virtually every gaming store in Edmonton this weekend, there’s D&D night at the EPL makerspace tonight, a massive Miniatures war-game event in Spruce Grove (featuring the new edition of Warhammer 40k), a 7 Wonders tournament tonight at Table Top Café and a Hearthstone tournament at West Edmonton Mall’s Microsoft Store tomorrow.

Outside of gaming, there’s Introvert’s Reading Night tonight courtesy of Variant Edition, the Rolling Empires Kickstarter Relaunch on Saturday and the Table Top Café Market on Sunday.

Finally, that 80’s Movie marathon at the Telus World Of Science I mentioned a while back continues tonight with Top Gun and Star Trek: Wrath Of Khan. It runs the whole weekend so check it out if you can!

As usual if I’ve missed anything, drop me an e-mail at info@EdmontonNerdList.com and I’ll add your event too!
