Calling All Speed Runners… YESS Quest Wants You!

Know any local Speedrunners that might want to show off their skills in front of a large audience? I just received this e-mail yesterday from the programming coordinator for YESS and they want to put you up on stage! See below for details & contact info.

Hello!

My name is Doug Bennett and I’m the Programming Coordinator from Youth Empowerment & Support Services (YESS). We’re looking for gaming speedrunners (those who compete to finish video games in the fastest time possible) and I was referred to you to see if the Edmonton Nerd List might be in touch with some :). YESS Quest (yessquest.com) is a new 24-hr gaming marathon fundraiser for at-risk and homeless youth running at Northlands from August 19-20.
We’re looking for speedrunners to feature on our main stage/twitch stream during the event. They’ve got the A/V covered, we’d just need the runner to bring their set-up! If possible, we’d like to see a link to one of their runs, and we’re ideally looking for someone who can bring a commentator to explain the run, or who can commentate for themselves.
If you might know of anyone interested, please feel free give them my e-mail: douglas.bennett@yess.org. We’d love to hear from them! Also, if anyone wants to just join in for the event, they can visit yessquest.com to sign up and start a fundraising page! I’ll also send this in an e-mail. Thanks so much for your time!
