Edmonton Free Comic Book Day Events – May 6

**Updated-May 6. This should be everybody. Good hunting!**

I know I’ve posted about this before but there are finally links & details to share. As expected, there’s a trio of stores that are putting on big events to celebrate & give out comics.

As usual, Happy Harbor is putting a giant event going from 10am-5pm with movie tickets, a lego challenge, a food truck & an after party as well with live music. Event link here.

Variant Edition also has a food truck, local authours & artist signings and a full-sized TARDIS. Event link here.

MacBeth Comics has a party the night before with special guests & will have live music, cosplayers & artist signings as well. Event link here.

Also of note,

We Have Issues will have their street team out on Whyte Ave handing out books as well as a sale inside.

-Wizards Comics (U of A & Sherwood Park) will let you take one of every book for a $5 donation to charity.

West Edmonton Coin & Stamp (WEM) will have an artist signing.

Hyperspace Comics (Spruce Grove) will open their doors for the first time to the public at the same time. Check them out here.

-Quantum Comics has closed their doors (to move to Camrose) but will be giving out comics at the Beltaine Fair. Event link here.

Just because not everyone will have a big event doesn’t mean you can’t get free comics anywhere else though… if you’re looking for a quieter event, go to Comic Fever, Comic King, Warp One, Warp Two, Warp Three, Thunderground (St. Albert) & possibly Wayne’s Sports Cards (Still not certain…).

You can also get them at libraries in Fort Saskatchewan (Friday only), Redwater & Camrose. Of special note is the event that the Spruce Grove Library is putting on (think Stormtroopers!)

Finally, feel like going for a scooter ride from store to store with like-minded comic afficianados? Check out this link.
