Assuming you’re not down in Calgary waiting for Stan Lee’s autograph at the Expo… here’s a bunch of things going on this weekend.
In case you forgot, it’s International Tabletop Day on Saturday and the link below has a roundup of everything that local stores/cafés have announced for it. If you feel like playing board games tonight, you can go to the EPL Makerspace (it’s fantastic, I’ll promote as long as I can). You can also have a quiet night out and talk to absolutely no one at Variant Edition’s Introvert’s Reading Night tonight.
Saturday has Tabletop Day at every Board Game Café but someone’s going to win a trip just by being the biggest Harry Potter fan in Edmonton (courtesy of the Buckingham). There’s also some high-level Chess action & a Studio Ghibli movie at Metro Cinema on behalf of Reel Family Cinema (free for kids 12 & under).
Sunday is likely quiet as everyone returns from Calgary but if you’re a podcaster & you haven’t been out to meet any of your fellow local podcasters at Variant Edition yet; what are you waiting for? Get to know a local support group and get the word out about your podcast by just meeting people!
