Sad news again for nerds in the Edmonton area. The organizers behind Eekfest in St. Albert made a simple announcement on their Facebook page yesterday announcing there will be no event this year. They have left open the possibility of a 2018 event however. See below for the text of the announcement.
Hi everyone! Some news to share on Eek Fest.
We have not been able to coordinate the necessary components (venue, suppliers) at this point that best serves the show.
With that, we made the tough decision to put the show on hiatus for 2017 and looking towards 2018.
We thank you for your past involvement and attendance. Look forward to seeing you down the road.
