Let’s Talk Science is hosting an exhilerating FREE astronomy event for kids and adults alike! If you are a fan of the stars and would love to learn about outer space from the experts at the University of Alberta, this is the event for you! There shall be two separate events happening the same evening:
1) Family friendly – 4:30-6:30pm: Bring the entire family to explore the science of outer space, listen to our local experts, and participate in hands-on activities to learn more about astronomy!
2) Adult-only – 7:30-10:00pm: An exciting night out to learn about outer space, intermingle with local astronomers, and, best of all, tour the University of Alberta observatory and gaze at the beautiful November sky! By donation refreshments will be graciously provided by Starbucks (cash-only)
Note: The observatory is outside, so if you are attending the adult-only event, please dress for spending a little bit of time outside where the stars are! The observatory also recommends to avoid wearing high heels as the floor is metallic mesh and can easily trap them.
Location: Room L2-200 is on the lower second floor of the Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Science (CSIS) building on the North Campus. Maps can be found at: http://www.campusmap.ualberta.ca/
