We don’t cover the major chains since we’re trying to put the spotlight on local Nerds & their businesses/art… but this time a chain store is helping out a local Nerdy endeavour.
Edmonton Potterwatch is having a fundraiser at Chapters on Whyte on September 23 in support of their annual Yule Ball (which in turn supports iHuman Youth Society).
Obviously, shop local first but if there’s something you need that you can only find at Chapters, stop in on the 23rd and support Edmonton Potterwatch!

Do you love Chapters as much as we do? Are you incapable of leaving their store without making at least one purchase? Do you feel joy flutter in your heart the moment you walk in, smelling that beautiful book aroma and admiring that killer aesthetic? Then do we have an opportunity for you!
If you’re going to be purchasing anything from Chapters in September, we encourage you to do so at Chapters Strathcona on the 23rd from 4-7pm to participate in our FUNdraiser!
If you’d like to support us, you can ‘pledge’ by signing up to make a purchase in store in the name of our organization and we’ll recieve a percent of it back! Edmonton Potterwatch will have a booth set up, so feel free to come and find us at our table and we can guide you through the process.
*Please note: all purchases would be at full retail value, and would exclude electronics, discounted items, irewards/plum point redemptions, Lego, and American Girl items.
All proceeds will be going to support iHuman Youth Society through The Third Rockin’ Charity Yule Ball, so we’d sure appreciate it if you could reserve the sickles, knuts, and galleons you’ve been saving for Chapters until September 23rd–we can’t wait to see you there!
