Griesbach Art Walk (Tomorrow)

Just in case you happen to be out catching Pokémon tomorrow anyway, why not stop in and check out the Griesbach Art Walk? Not sure what kind of comic artists will be there but I might just stop in and see if there’s any new listings…

The forecast couldn’t be better for Griesbach’s annual all-ages community celebration. Put on the sunscreen and join us at Perron Berger Park for an amazing afternoon. Highlights include:

Art In The Park (Art Walk): This year’s event features 37 Edmonton Artists (including several residents). Art is on sale. Most vendors accept credit cards, but bring cash just in case.

Children’s Activities: Facepainters, balloon artists, games and bouncy castles (including an Obstacle Bouncer). Free for 2016/17 GCL members or $5/child or $10/family for non-members.

Be sure to bring your membership card or wristband if you received one at the fall soccer registration.

Live Music by the Pete Turland Band: Did you know Griesbach is home to a Juno and MAPL Blues nominated artist? Pete Turland is going to put the “shake” in Shake at the Lake with his drivin’ rockabilly/blues sound.

Beer Gardens: Pop by our licenced beer garden to see the band and enjoy a wine, cooler or beer. Kids welcome to hang with mom and dad. Cash only.

Food Trucks: Bring an appetite. Four food trucks have been lined up for this years event: Street Eats, Jimmy Poblano’s Southwest Cantina, Fat Franks and Mini Donut King.

LAV and Fire Trucks: The military will be bringing out their popular display once again. This year, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services will let children and adults see the inner workings of their Hazardous Materials truck.

Community Tables: Meet your Community League board members, learn what we’ve been up to and buy your 2016/17 membership ($25/household). Also, visit our guests from Griesbach Dance Company and Edmonton Public Library and learn about their programs.

It’s going to be epic. Don’t miss out!!!
