We’ve always been big fans of local TV show My Plastic Heaven. I’ve gone so far as to call the host “a Nerdy Alan Cross.” Very thorough histories on a variety of classic games. Well now it looks like big things are on the horizon for this awesome Edmonton show! See the below announcement from the Facebook page.
“Ladies and Gentlemen,
I would like to make the following statement. This situation has come about rather quickly, and was unforeseen when I said I was going to talk about the return of MPH a couple of days ago.
Recently, a Television Program Distributor contacted me and asked if I would like to have MPH available through the US on cable…
Having just submitted the paperwork, it’s a go on my end, and this is the next evolution for MPH. What does this mean? Well, MPH will be moving towards being available on American television. This means that I still have a few lives left when it comes to the show, and a couple of continues on hand (that was terrible). On what channels and carriers it will appear is still in the works, but the fact of the matter is, I was approached with this opportunity, and it’s something I, as well as MPH really needs right now.
You have all been very loyal to this cause, and as always, the most important part of MPH. I will let you know when the transition takes place, but there will be new episodes coming along. The contract says that I will still have the show available on the website for those who cannot watch on TV (just like with the Canadian broadcasts), but for now, I am just getting things ready for this much needed development.
It has been a difficult year on the personal side of the show, both with money and other stresses, but the mission has always been to carry on. Thankfully I haven’t been kicked out for being late with rent, and still in good health. Perhaps one day, if anyone is interested, I will tell the story in detail as to what it took to come this far, and shed some light on a lot of the things that have happened behind the scenes. I thank you very much for the support you have shown MPH, and I hope you will continue to be a part of this ever growing project!.
