The first thing I’m going to say is that I love the Citadel too… the other thing I’m going to say is that I’ve never made it out to Nerd Nite. Part of the reason for that has been how fast it usually sells out! Maybe now I’ll be able to get tickets to one?

“Well hello there, dear Edmonton Nerds!
Your Nerd Bosses have been hard at work this summer to bring you Season 5 of Nerd Nite Edmonton. We have some incredible speakers lined up for our shows, but before we can tell you about those later on this month, we have a few things we wanted to share with you first.
As many of our long-time patrons know, we’ve been hosting Nerd Nite Edmonton at the Citadel Theatre for three years now. The Citadel staff and volunteers have been nothing short of incredible to us, ensuring we have all the resources we need to pull off a show that our guests keep coming back for.
But Nerd Nite has grown quite a bit over these last three years — we know this because tickets sell out very quickly, and many of you have asked us to consider using a larger space to accommodate more guests.
Given our growth, we’ve made the decision to move to a new venue. Starting at our first show of the season, Nerd Nite Edmonton’s new home will be The Needle Vinyl Tavern.
While the decision to leave our friends at the Citadel was a difficult one, we believe it will give Nerd Nite Edmonton room to grow. It also means you can enjoy food during the show! And the Needle’s located on major transit routes; plus there’s ample street parking (free after 6pm!) near the venue.
We’ve set all the dates for the Nerd Nite’s fifth season. This season, all of our Nerd Nites will take place on a Wednesday night. Here are the dates we’ll be doing shows at The Needle:
