This might not be strictly nerdy but when we’re asked to help promote something, we haven’t said no yet and it might be useful to a lot of the artists on our list. We received a message from the local Showcase Director at RAW: natural born artists and they’re looking for artists for their upcoming showcase in July.
More specifically: “RAW is currently looking for Submissions from costume/fashion designers, film creators, accessory makers, visual artists, and hair & make up artists for our upcoming July 14th and October 13th showcases.”
If you’re not aware of them yet:
“RAW is an international indie arts organization for artists, by artists. We focus on spotlighting indie underground talent to the public.
Every quarter we hand-select and showcase 60 local artists in film, fashion, music, visual art, photography, accessories, performing art, hair & makeup as well as Djs etc.
RAW operates in 60 cities across the globe in the U.S, Australia, Canada and the U.K….including Edmonton.
Our mission is to provide artists with a platform to show their work and to help upcoming artists to gain exposure within their community as well as internationally.
All artists portfolios are also added to our RAW website, which is an amazing opportunity for an artists work to get scouted.”
