Nerdy Summer Camps-Part One

Believe me it’s not what I thought I’d start a series of posts on… but they’re out there and you nerdy parents need to start knowing about them sooner rather than later. The first one is a Board Game camp for teens being hosted by Taps For Effect. I don’t usually post in advance of the official online announcement; but it’s been announced in-store and registration can occur at Taps. Here are the official brochures:

From what I understand, they’d ideally like two more volunteers to help with the running of it. Wishing there was something like this when I was younger….

Stay tuned for more later this week. If you know of any more that I should focus on, please let me know at info@EdmontonNerdList.com

  1. That looks great! I’m aware they have worked well elsewhere, too.

When researching for an essay on the Tabletop Therapy project I run for children on the autistic spectrum, I found a really interesting article in an academic journal about the author’s observations on a RPG camp she had visited. Really inspiring stuff!
