Probably the best day I can think of to give this a mention. The newest addition to our Groups and Organizations list is MacEwan Geek Girls and they’re having a Harry Potter Yule Ball on January 23rd.
“Join us for an evening of wizardry and magic! Please wear your finest formal attire, Harry Potter Cosplay is most welcome (but not required). No jeans or casual wear please! We will have a cash bar, silent auction, and finger foods to enjoy while we dance the night away.
Tickets: $25 – Students
$35 – General Public
This is an 18+ event and IDs will be checked at the door. Please drink responsibly and arrange for a safe ride home.
All funds raised will be used to support the MacEwan Geek Girls Club at MacEwan University.”
From the sound of it, tickets aren’t yet available but there’s lots of interest so they won’t be around long. They also need donations for their silent auction… Where did I put that wand….?
